Kelly Ripa Birthday Celebration Filled With Custom Cake, Good Friends And Fun Plans [Video]

Kelly Ripa’s birthday was a big celebration this week as the Live with Kelly & Michael host turned 44-years-old. Ripa celebrated on the show and shared a bit about her plans with her husband as well. What did Kelly do to make the most of her birthday?

Ripa fans know that she has talked previously about her childhood love of Tastykakes, so as ABC News shares, the show had a custom-designed cake made featuring the sweet treat. The cake also featured chocolate, macaroons, biscuits, and frosting roses. It was an elaborate treat that Kelly later shared with everybody in the audience. It was clearly a big hit.

Viewers know that Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, happen to be very close friends of actor and comedian Jerry Seinfeld and his wife Jessica Seinfeld, as Kelly talks about them often. To help Ripa celebrate the big day, Jessica did some birthday cake baking herself, and stopped by the show to join in on the fun.

As Ripa chatted with co-host Michael Strahan, she shared that she and Mark would be celebrating her birthday by going to see Rita Wilson perform at New York City’s Carlyle Hotel. Though Kelly and Mark do a lot of outings with their three children, Michael, Lola, and Joaquin, it seems for this birthday celebration it was a date night for the couple on their own.

E! Online notes that many colleagues came out of the woodwork on social media to send their well wishes for Kelly Ripa’s birthday. Mark shared a cute childhood picture of Kelly, and wished her a happy birthday while other friends such as Sarah Michelle Gellar and Bravo’s Andy Cohen shared pictures with Ripa and wished her a happy birthday as well.

Ripa has had a very busy year this past year, having attended Neil Patrick Harris’ wedding in Italy, selling her penthouse, and having to move after a decade in one place. Naturally, with every one of these events, Kelly practically makes the show’s viewers feel as if they were right there in the experience with her. She’s made Live with Kelly & Michael fans laugh with every story she tells, and viewers surely had fun celebrating her birthday with her as well.

Happy birthday to Kelly Ripa, and here’s hoping her next year is just as great as this past year has been for her.
