Jessie J Hopes To Find Love In America

Jessie J hasn’t found the right guy yet, but she’s hoping to change that when she brings her musical stylings to the United States.

The English songstress recently appeared in the pages of Cosmopolitan UK, where she discussed her love life — or lack thereof. However, Jessie J hopes to change this situation when she heads across the pond to America. At least, that’s what she’s telling herself.

According to the MTV News UK, the “Bang Bang” singer hopes to have children at some point during the next 10 years. To bring this plan to fruition, Jessie J needs to meet someone, fall in love, and make sure the relationship stays together. In other words, the 26-year-old has a lot of missions to complete, both personally and professionally.

“Maybe America is the place I’ll meet the man of my dreams? My mum and dad have been together 36 years and they’ve shown me what real love is like. When you have that to look up to, you know you have to get it right. I like a guy who can make me laugh. I think with Instagram and Twitter, romance has lost its way. It’s all, ‘Oh I’ve got this girl but I could have this one and I can contact her directly right this minute.’ I think if we lost technology for a year there would be more people getting married!”

The Daily Mail explains that Jessie J has found success in the music industry despite a number of health issues. The singer has a heart condition that has frequently resulted in trips to the hospital, though she hasn’t allowed this to get in the way of her dreams.

“When I was first in the public eye my heart condition and health problems were spoken about a lot. That hasn’t gone away just because I’ve had some success. I still go to hospital. There are times when I have palpitations and I have to get on with it. I’m not on medication anymore but I have to balance my lifestyle and my diet, and not push myself. When I don’t feel well I stop.”

According to MTV News, Jessie J’s album Sweet Talk is presently slated to hit retail shelves on October 14. The album will feature collaborations with such noteworthy acts as Ariana Grande, De La Soul, and Nicki Minaj.

Are you planning to snag a copy of Jessie J’s new record later this month? Do you think the British singer will find love on American shores?
