Brenda Song, Trace Cyrus to Wed

Former Disney star Brenda Song is ready to enjoy the “sweet life” as the future wife of Trace Cyrus, the 22-year-old brother of Miley Cyrus.

The couple, who began dating in May of 2010, confirmed their engagement this past Friday via Trace’s Twitter.

“I am very excited to say, last week I asked my girlfriend Brenda Song to marry me and she said YES! We are both very excited to be engaged!”

According to People magazine, Trace and Brenda weren’t the only ones excited about the big news.

Congratulating her brother, Miley Cyrus took to Twitter as well to post: “can’t wait for Brenda to be a Cyrus! : ) couldn’t be more excited about my “sister in law to be” yay : )”

Before becoming an item, both Brenda Song and Trace Cyrus were linked to other stars in the Disney world. Cyrus had dated former “Sonny with a Chance” star Demi Lovato in 2009 and Song had been romantically involved with Joe Jonas in 2008.

Song, who is best known for playing London Tipton in Disney’s “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody,” the show’s spin-off “The Suite Life on Deck” as well as “The Suite Life Movie,” recently made the jump into more “grown-up” films with her role as the girlfriend of Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin in The Social Network.

As of now there is no official word on when the star duo plan on tying the knot.
