As we usher in October, Netflix has decided to put up titles for the month now that we’ve officially said goodbye to some of its library throughout the month of September. Of course if you still want to check out expired streaming titles like Dawson’s Creek, you can still get the DVDs through Netflix, but does anyone actually use those archaic discs anymore?
Anyway, there’s a few exciting titles coming to Netflix during the month of October. According to Vulture must see titles new to Netflix are as follows.
Gilmore Girls (The Complete Series)
The Inquisitralready reported that the news of Gilmore Girls heading to Netflix is egging on rumors of a reunion. While we wait for confirmation on this, you can enjoy Rory and Lorelai’s mother/daughter hijinks.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (October 22)
With the impending film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 makes its way to theaters in November, you can now play catch up with the Catching Fire sequel.
In a World… (October 7)
This independent film scored big with critics, and has a fantastic performance by breakout actress/director and writer Lake Bell that’s worth checking out.
Carrie (2013) (October 2)
While it didn’t get the best reviews the Carrie reboot is worth a peek for a rainy day. Plus, the title is coming to Netflix just in time for Halloween.
Django Unchained (2012) (October 25)
With the news of Quentin Tarantino going behind the camera for the upcoming The Hateful Eight, relish in his satirical history bending film, which features a great performance by Jamie Foxx and a pretty killer soundtrack. Also, check out Kerry Washington before everyone started watching her on a weekly basis on Scandal.
A Long Way Down (2014) (October 9)
Check out Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul in this indie dramedy. He still plays a lost 20-something adult, but it’s a departure from Jesse Pinkman.
