‘NCIS’ Spoilers: Season 12, Episode 2 Brings Heartbreak, Flirting In ‘Kill The Messenger’

Season 12 of NCIS got off to a great start with the premiere last week and now Episode 2 airs Tuesday night on CBS. What can fans expect from this episode titled “Kill the Messenger”? Love may be in the air for one team member while devastating news stuns another. What NCIS spoilers are available for the September 30 show?

Former NFL player Tony Gonzalez joins the show in the role of Special Agent Tony Francis, and he’s working with Gibbs. NCIS spoilers via TV Guide indicate that a Navy lieutenant will be murdered as he’s heading to meet with the president and now the team gets involved in the investigation. The NCIS team will be working to determine whether the lieutenant’s death is related to muggings in the area or whether he may have been targeted to keep intelligence secrets under wraps.

In terms of other NCIS spoilers, previews show that Abby is working with Sargeant Moore, and she appears to be a bit smitten. It seems Moore may be a bit smitten too, as Gibbs is seen paving the way a wee bit for the two to connect. The CBS press site shares another NCIS preview showing a fun moment between Bishop and Francis. He’s trying to get her opinion on Gibbs, but he’s busted when Gibbs walks up behind him and hears it all.

It’s not all roses and romance in Tuesday’s episode, however. Director Vance apparently gets some kind of “heartbreaking news” and Gibbs is seen telling him that he needs to stay positive. Just what is going on with Vance? He’s already been through a lot and fans worry about what is transpiring now.

As for DiNozzo, he is seen in this episode, but CBS is banking that fans will follow him over to the new spin-off of the franchise, NCIS: New Orleans. Michael Weatherly guest stars this week on the new show, which got enormous ratings in its premiere last week.

The Season 12 premiere left things hanging a bit when it came to Sergei, but it doesn’t sound as if that will be addressed again in Episode 2 airing Tuesday night. Many are hoping that having Ari and Sergei in the mix of things this season may bring Ziva back to the fold, but it doesn’t sound as if viewers should count on that happening. Cote de Pablo has another CBS project in the works, but the door does seem to be open.

Tune in to the Season 12, Episode 2 show of NCIS titled “Kill the Messenger” airing on Tuesday, September 30 to see just what goes down.
