Emma Roberts has peeled back the curtain on the upcoming season of American Horror Story: Freak Show. Over the last few weeks, the FX series has been using social media to prepare fans for the upcoming fourth season. From the looks of it, the show is currently filming its most terrifying season yet.
Recently Roberts took to Twitter to snap some photos from behind the scenes of the upcoming fourth season. Ahead of its October 8 season premiere, Roberts teased viewers through her Instagram account.
In this season Roberts plays Maggie Esmerelda, a fortune teller in the freak show. While she isn’t sporting any “freakish” characteristics like Kathy Bates’ bearded lady and Sarah Paulson’s conjoined twins, it looks like the actress still has plenty to do on the set.
Roberts posed for a photo with new cast member Jyoti Amge. As The Inquisitr reported, Amge will be using her short stature to her advantage in her new role. Ange currently is the smallest woman according to The Guinness Book of World Records. While it looks like a lot of her interaction will be with Jessica Lange, that didn’t stop Roberts from posing with the 20-year-old pint-sized woman.
Back in July, Roberts shared a photo of some of the cast filming, including fiancee Evan Peters.
Aside from the creepy clown and contortionist on the show, Sarah Paulson’s characters have been the face of the new season as she was the first to tweet about her character. Since she tweeted earlier in the summer, creator Ryan Murphy has been giving fans breadcrumbs about her characters Bette and Dot.

As for Emma Roberts’ character, the actress told E! a bit of what we can expect. Earlier in the month she said, “American Horror Story, in general, scares me to death. I have to say, Freak Show is really scarier…I read the script and I was having nightmares.”
As for not being a “freak” on the show, Roberts said “that might not be true.” Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
