Britney Spears’ Former Manager Says She’s Not Ready To Tour

Britney Spears’ former manager Johnny Wright talked to OK! magazine about her comeback, saying
that he’d rather see her concentrate on improving her well-being and personal life. “Her career can wait,” he told the gossip rag, commenting that she should be “spending time with her kids.”

Well, he said that, and so much more:

“A comeback is not what I wish for Britney. What I wish for her is to settle down and find real happiness. All her essential relationships have been torn apart. She’s been divorced twice, she doesn’t have custody of her kids, she’s being pushed back into being a money machine.

I want her to be happy in her heart, then go back to the business because she wants to, not because people are convincing her she has to, or that it would be good therapy for her. It’s too soon for her to be a part of a manufactured machine that is pushing her to have to be a success.”

Meanwhile, it looks like some of Britney’s best publicity could be coming to an end. Page Six hints that Kent Brownridge, the current publisher, has “severed the magazine’s relationship with the Spears clan,” barring magazine staff members from going to Spears events. While a rep denied it, saying “We need them, and they need us, and we both know it,” maybe Britney will need that tour for the extra boost in popularity.
