WWE News: WWE 2K15 Reveals Details For ‘MyCareer Mode,’ Replica Of NBA 2K Series

The most-anticipated WWE video game of all-time just released important details regarding a very crucial part of the game. With the addition of NXT stars such as Adrian Neville, Sami Zayn and Corey Graves, the WWE decided to take a page out of the NBA 2K series’ playbook. NBA 2K started the “MyCareer Mode,” which became a huge hit with their theatrics between the games and the reality of an NBA superstar.

For the first time in WWE video game history, they will add their own, “MyCareer Mode,” and IGN just came out with details on the highly-anticipated feature.

“You begin by creating your own character and then walk them along the path of a potential WWE Superstar in pursuit of the coveted WWE World Heavyweight Championship title. Starting out at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, you’ll train under former WWE Superstar and WWE Performance Center head coach Bill DeMott.”

“From there, you head to NXT, WWE’s developmental system for rising young talent, where familiar faces including Rusev, Bo Dallas, Adrian Neville, Sami Zayn and Corey Graves are set to make appearances. From there, it’s up to the main roster with Vickie Guerrero leading you. As you’d expect, alliances and rivalries will be par-for-the-course as you compete to win spots on events and flagship shows. The United States Championship and Intercontinental Championship will feature, before it’s wrapped up with SummerSlam and WrestleMania.”

2K also promised customization options, including the ability to unlock new managers and other story paths with the incentive to play the MyCareer mode repeatedly.

This is a huge step for the WWE and their video game series. When they were with THQ, the games were very well-done. However, 2K stepped up their gaming franchise with the NBA installments. The makers at 2K took that talent and applied it to the professional wrestling world. If you don’t believe me, just take a look at the first official trailer for WWE 2K15.

The only bad news for gamers is the fact that WWE 2K15 was delayed for the PS4 and Xbox One for unknown reasons. It will be released for next-generation consoles on November 18, 2014. As for PS3 and Xbox 360, the original release date will stand at October 28.

Before the accusations come out that CM Punk’s lawsuit for unpaid royalties is the reason for the delay, it wouldn’t make sense due to the PS3 and Xbox 360 systems keeping their original release date. Also, if Punk and the “Showcase” mode was taken off the next-generation consoles, fans would literally riot. I bet that some fans wouldn’t buy the game if Punk were not in it.

WWE 2K15 will break down barriers in the wrestling video game industry. The graphics are out of this world, as are the new modes and features they will be accompanied by. Get ready for the best wrestling game in history WWE Universe.
