According to InTouch Weekly, Derick hinted that a little girl was on the way for the duo, who are expecting their first child together in March of 2015. The couple recently opened up about setting good examples for their children, and how their faith will impact their parenting choices. It was what Derick said — with an emphasis on having “a daughter” — that got people wondering.

“Ultimately, we want to be an example for [our children]. For a daughter, I want to show her how a man should treat her, just like Jill’s dad did for her. And just be the best dad I can be to both my sons and daughters and really purpose to teach them the word of God early on and pray that they will come to the Lord early in life.”

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard have been sharing their pregnancy with the world, often telling fans what’s going on in their lives and how they are preparing for their new addition. In fact, many of the things that they have shared have led fans to believe they are having a girl. However, Jill is only about 15 weeks along in her pregnancy, so she more than likely doesn’t know what she’s having at this point. It’s unknown if she and Derick will choose to find out the sex of their baby during their 18-week ultrasound.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, there have been quite a few other hints that the couple is expecting a baby girl, which is clearly just coincidence… or maybe they have a sixth sense about their unborn baby, who knows? For starters, Jill’s cravings have suggested that she’s having a girl. She has also been very sick, all day long, which is another sign. Lastly, the couple posted a photo holding white baby shoes that appeared to be for a baby girl. Curious, right?

According to Us Weekly, Jill Duggar has been craving salty things lately, which would actually suggest she is having a boy — that is, if you put faith into any of those old wives’ tales. The bottom line is that it is too early to know for sure, and your guess is as good as mine at this point. If Jill and Derick choose to find out the sex of their baby, they will likely share the exciting news with their fans. As long as their little one is healthy, the sex really doesn’t matter.
