The Black Eyed Child: Chilling Accounts Surface After 30 Years, ‘Demon Child’ Returns?

The Black Eyed Child is known to many people thanks to horror flicks, but for a few others, the name means something completely different. People around the world have claimed to see this child — a young girl no older than 10 who has eyes darker than night without any white surrounding her pupils. According to The Mirror, sightings of the child in Cannock Chase in Staffordshire, England, are particularly frightening. You see, people who encounter the child (who could be a ghost, an alien, or a vampire), do so during the day in Cannock Chase.

Leading paranormal investigator Lee Brickley has been researching sightings for many years. In 1982, Brickley’s aunt had a sighting of the child, who is believed to bring people closer to danger. The Black Eyed Child supposedly leads people to dangerous situations, according to The Huffington Post UK. It’s this reason that led Brickley to believe that the child is a demon of some kind. Over the past couple of years, there have been nine accounts brought to Brickley’s attention, and all sound eerily similar. Each one starts off with a female child screaming for help. One of the recent sightings is particularly chilling.

“We instantly started running towards the noise. We couldn’t find the child anywhere and so stopped to catch our breath. That’s when I turned round and saw a girl stood behind me, no more than 10 years old, with her hands over her eyes. It was as if she was waiting for a birthday cake. I asked if she was OK and if she had been the one screaming. She put her arms down by her side and opened her eyes. That’s when I saw they were completely black, no iris, no white, nothing. I jumped back and grabbed my daughter. When I looked again, the child was gone. It was so strange.”

The Black Eyed Child is just a hoax to many people, but others believe that these sightings are real. According to The Inquisitr, Slender Man is another figure that people claim to see. The “fictional” character makes people do things — like stab a friend and leave her in the woods to die.

Do you believe in Slender Man or The Black Eyed Child?
