Making the cover of the NBA 2K15 video game is an accomplishment that many basketball players dream of.
Kevin Durant is living that dream and doing it with hilarity and style. In his interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, he revealed that he enjoys playing the game, and that he is really good at it.
According to the Bleacher Report, the highlight of the NBA Most Valuable Player’s appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s show was his admission that he plays the NBA 2K15 video game as Lebron James.
“Do you play as you?” Fallon said.
“No, that would be arrogant,” Kevin Durant answered.
“Who do you play as, then?”
“I play as Lebron,” he said.
The Inquisitr previously reported that the Oklahoma City superstar had made the cover of NBA 2K15, and was given one of the highest ratings in the game.
Sports Illustrated has already started speculating that the three-time NBA All-Star and three-time NBA scoring champion’s admission that he plays NBA 2K15 as Lebron James will, as they put it, “inevitably lead to Cavaliers fans assuming Durant will be headed to Cleveland in 2016.”
Kevin Durant seems pretty excited about the release of the game which is set for October 7, as reported by The Inquisitr.
Kevin Durant tweeted the trailer for the game yesterday, a tweet which got 956 retweets and 1,318 favorites.
Kevin Durant, who will celebrate his birthday on September 29, has been featured by Esquire Magazine in an interview where he talks about the mentors in his life.
“My Mom is going to keep it real with me no matter what,” he said.
He shared in detail the impact his mother has on his life.
“If she sees me slipping, she’s going to tell me. If she sees that I can prevent the struggles, she’s going to tell me. But most of the time, if it’s something I can’t control, she’s always on my side being positive and letting me know that it’s going to be all right. She’s the biggest one, because she’ll keep it real with me when I don’t want to hear it.”
Incidentally, Jimmy Fallon opened the interview with Kevin Durant by talking about his emotional MVP speech, in which he dedicated the award to his mother and spoke about how she has helped to make him a success.
