Jordin Sparks, Jason Derulo Split: Fans Shocked After 2-Year Romance Ends
Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo have split. The couple ended their relationship after more than two years together. News of the breakup completely shocked fans, many of whom thought that the couple would end up getting engaged this year. According to E! News, sources say that the break up was mutual, and that the former couple will remain friends.
Jordin and Jason had been dating (officially) since January 2012, though they were linked even earlier than that. Over the past two years, the two have shown that they really loved each other, and that they wanted to make their relationship work — which is likely why this news is so shocking to so many people.
Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo were a great couple and fans really loved seeing them together.

In fact, Derulo even admitted that his 2013 hit “Marry Me” was written about Sparks. The American Idol alum was featured in the music video, where Derulo proposed to her on camera.
“It is about Jordin, actually, and it’s talking about how amazing it will be when I get down on one knee and it will be the greatest moment of my life. You can’t fake anything because true love is true love, and that’s the basis of our relationship.”

Another reason that the breakup is shocking is because it sort of came out of nowhere. According to People Magazine, the two were just at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 24 — and they seemed really happy together.
“They were loving each other’s company as they sat in the front row and danced together,” an eyewitness shared. However, something must have transpired over the past month that made the two want to end things.
