Amber Rose Files For Divorce, Denies Cheating On Wiz Khalifa
Typically, when a celebrity files for divorce, their attorneys advise them to stay silent. In Amber Rose’s case, this doesn’t appear to have happened.
Following claims of alleged infidelities on both sides of the impending divorce, Rose spoke out on Twitter, denying she cheated on Wiz Khalifa, and insinuating it was Khalifa who strayed.
“Please stop with the fake stories. I would never ever ever cheat on my husband in a million years I think u guys know this,” Amber Rose wrote to fans, adding, “Unfortunately my now ex husband can’t say the same… I’m devastated and crushed but my main focus is Sebastian. Thank u for all the support in this difficult time.”
Rose’s tweets came just hours after TMZ published a report claiming Khalifa was a “serial cheater.”
“Since the beginning of Wiz’s tour in July [Amber has] strongly suspected he was stepping out,” TMZ reported on September 25. “Amber’s telling friends… she wanted to join Wiz on the tour but he came up with a panoply of excuses, the most frequent of which… she should stay home with their 1-year-old. She also says he tried to show dominance by telling her he’s the bread winner and he needed to be left alone to make money and she needed to stay home.”
Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa began dating in 2011, following Rose’s years-long relationship with Kanye West. After welcoming their first child together, son Sebastian Taylor Thomaz, in February 2013, Rose and Khalifa tied the knot. Then, just over one year after they wed, Rose filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
When it comes to accusations of cheating, typically the party who files for divorce is the wounded party, so to speak, but that isn’t always the case. At times, a guilty party files for divorce in an effort to protect their image, or gain the upper hand. In this case, it remains unclear who did what — or if anything was actually done.
As his wife files for divorce, Khalifa has stayed fairly silent, aside from one mysterious tweet, which read, “We belong to the world.”
Just weeks ago, on September 8, Amber Rose shared a throwback photo of her and Khalifa on their wedding day. In the caption of the photo, Rose wrote, “Happy 27th Birthday [Wiz Khalifa] I’ll love u forever…. Hope this year is an amazing one for u sweetheart.”
Considering her recent divorce filing, something major must have happened in the weeks since Rose posted the photo.
