Kate Hudson showed up on the set of The Reluctant Fundamentalist on Tuesday sporting a new brunette hairstyle on the New York City set.

The 32-year-old actress shot scenes with co-star Riz Ahmed and then spent her free time between scenes with son Ryder (pictured above).

Based on the Mohsin Hamid book of the same name the movie surrounds a young Pakistani man working on Wall Street who changes his views on life after the 9/11 attacks.
