Omarosa Manigault’s Brother Murdered in “Lover’s Quarrel”

Former “Apprentice” star Omarosa Manigault is grieving the loss of her 40-year-old brother Jack, who police in Youngstown, Ohio, say was killed in a lover’s quarrel on Sunday.

According to local authorities, Jack Manigault was sleeping at home with his girlfriend when her ex-boyfriend, Marco Cardenas, allegedly forced his way into the residence, entered the bedroom and fired several shots, a local newspaper reported.

Police say Cardenas, 22, also hit Manigault’s girlfriend in the head with the gun, but was chased out of the house by two juveniles on the premises, and arrested a short time later.

Omarosa and her family released a brief statement through her Washington publicist following the tragic incident:

“We thank everyone for their amazing outpouring of support surrounding the tragic death of my brother Jack…Right now it is an extremely difficult time and we ask that you allow family privacy to grieve and make all necessary arrangements.”

While Jack had faced legal troubles of his own in the past, his sister says he had turned his life around and was on the right path before he died.

“My brother was so special to us! We loved him unconditionally and we were so proud of him when he turned his life around and gave his life to God two years ago,” Omarosa said.
