One Direction’s Liam Payne has taken to Twitter to declare that recent nude photos that have been circulating across the internet aren’t of him, while he also added that he isn’t gay too.
Over the weekend a number of images appeared across the world-wide-web that claimed to feature Payne involved in a sex act with another man. They are a little bit too racy to post here, but I’m sure if you’re keen enough to find them you will be able to.
Of course, Payne isn’t the first celebrity to have been involved in a nude-photo-leak over the last few weeks, but the singer felt the need to take to Twitter to insist that it wasn’t him in the images, which will probably be something that his long-time girlfriend, Sophia Smith, will be relieved to hear.
Payne wrote a statement on the social media website.
“Wow as if people think that weird photo going around is actually me lol think id rather tweet a full frontal then have people look at that.”
He then went on to add that his declaration wasn’t intended as a homophobic remark, but was instead intended to clarify his sexual preference.
“I’m 100% not homophobic. But I’m also 100% not gay so when somebody says I am I’m gunna say I’m not which does not make me a homophobe.”
Despite these protestations, One Direction fans continue to insist that Payne was actually in the pictures in question. This comes after his band-mate, Niall Horan, was also forced to dismiss reports that he had been captured kissing a man in Vine video.
Horan took to his own personal Twitter account.
“all these rumours huh? you guys Crack me up.”
This was provoked after the Vine, which appeared to show Niall with his arms around Julian Bunetta, who has written a number of One Direction songs, while Bunetta can also be seen embracing the singer. A number of fans then insisted that the Vine shows the pair kissing, however it is clearly impossible to make out whether a smooch happened. The duo do lean in incredibly close together, but it could just be that they were trying to speak to each other over the loud music that was obviously blaring out in the club.
One Direction fans refuse to hear these excuses though, and they continue to plaster across the internet that at least one member of the group is gay. It would probably be easier to believe them if they didn’t change who it was at least once a week.
