While Joe Manganiello is bulking up for the upcoming Magic Mike sequel, his beau Sofia Vergara took to Good Morning America to share with the world the secret behind how she snagged her man.
“He smelled me and he couldn’t help himself,” Sofia joked to host George Stephanopoulos. “That’s all you need if you want Joe!”
While that may seem like a strange response, Vergara was on Good Morning America to promote her new fragrance.
“I worked very hard to get the perfect combination of scents I wanted. It took me like a year of testing, trying things, annoying [Modern Family co-star] Ed O’Neill because I would show up on the set and go near him without him knowing to see if he liked it or not. He would tell me, ‘Mmm, you smell delicious today.’ I did it with every man I knew because I wanted men to like it, too!”
Meanwhile, Manganiello was recently spotted bulking up for the Magic Mike sequel, according to Yahoo Movies. Joe tweeted out a photo of himself pumping iron at the gym last week, commenting that he’s “getting ready for #MagicMikeXXL.”

His trainer Ron Matthews also tweeted the same photo but provided further clarification:

Joe Mangiello posted more tweets showcasing his workouts throughout the week, this time alongside former Washington Redskin standout Lavar Arrington:

Manganiello is well known for his devout workout routine. He even released a guide to fitness last December called Evolution where he talks about his preparation regimen for the first Magic Mike film.
“I institute ‘two a days,’ six days a week. Each day includes weight training and cardio. I focus less on increasing weight and raise the intensity by doing more reps and resting less. In other words, the philosophy is constant motion.”
Speaking of Magic Mike, Inquistr recently reported that the original movie’s star Matthew McConaughey will not be joining Joe on the highly anticipated sequel. Director Greg Jacobs confirmed the news to IndieWire, mentioning that while Matthew will not be re-joining the cast for the sequel, that “Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer and Joe Manganiello will be back.”
