Has Mariah Carey Moved On From Nick Cannon? Mimi Leaning On Brett Ratner Post-Split

Mariah Carey has found a new guy to keep her mind occupied while she goes through a split from her husband, Nick Cannon. The singer is reportedly leaning on Brett Ratner, a director who has been friends with Carey for many, many years.

According to Page Six, Carey has been leaning on Ratner since she kicked Cannon out of their New York City home over the summer. Ratner, who directed several Carey music videos including Heartbreaker and We Belong Together, has been in "frequent" contact with Carey over the past few months.

Interestingly enough, there aren't too many hints that Mariah and Brett have a romantic relationship or that they have ever been romantically involved for that matter. Apparently, Brett has just been a great friend to Mariah, and she has been leaning on his shoulder during this tough time. He is, after all, someone that she can trust.

Mariah Carey has not made mention of her split from Nick Cannon, but it is safe to say that the two are no longer together. While there were reports that Nick confirmed his split from Mariah, he took to Twitter days later to clear some things up. While he didn't say that he wasn't ending his marriage, he did say that he loved his wife, which caused some confusion. He also asked for privacy during this time. Check out his tweets below.

Nick CannonOf course, there have been rumors that Nick Cannon had been cheating on Mariah Carey... and that he already has a new girlfriend, even though he and Mariah aren't divorced yet. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Nick has been linked to two women since news that he and Mariah were over hit the internet. Sources have reportedly seen Nick out and about with Kreesha Turner and with a Mariah-look-alike named Jasmine Sanders. Perhaps the couple has agreed to see other people, who knows?

According to Radar Online, sources close to Nick say that he is "ready to move on."
