Madonna is a proud mom, as evidenced by her willingness to show off and support the talents of her children. Her recent post on Instagram of her soon to be nine-year-old son David dancing was accompanied by the caption:
“#banda getting ready to audition for his mom! #livingforlove.” The words were punctuated by hearts and other happy emoticons, including a pair of kissing lips.
As E! Online points out, “Living For Love” is rumored to be the title of Madonna’s new single which she reportedly recorded with the assistance of the London Community Gospel Choir.
David has true talent, as his rapid and stylistic moves demonstrate. Whether the youngster will actually have a role to play in an upcoming Madonna tour or promotion for her new album is yet to be seen. If he does show up onstage, however, it wouldn’t be the first time.
As The Mirror reports, when David was six he set up shop with DJ Martin Solveig during his mom’s show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The celebrity-studded audience included Emma Roberts and Jessica Alba.
Madonna has four children. David and his older brother Rocco, 14, are from Madonna’s marriage to Guy Ritchie. She had daughter Lourdes, 17, with Carlos Leon and adopted Mercy James, 8, on her own.
Rocco also joined his mother onstage, back in 2010. He did an impressive breakdancing routine that included handstands. Rocco was 10 years old at the time.
Madonna made less favorable news recently as it was reported, including by The Inquisitr, that she caused disruption on a flight with her children back in July. She also continues to create some intriguing news in her personal life, as in August she reportedly ended her nearly eight-month relationship with a man nearly 30 years her junior. According to US Weekly, she gave 26-year-old Timor Steffens the boot days before she turned 56.
In the meantime, Madonna is working on a new album to follow her MDNA release and tour back in 2012. That record debuted at number one on the Billboard chart.
Billboard reported today that the pop icon is working with a lengthy list of notables, including songwriter, DJ and producer Diplo, DJ Dahi and Blood Diamonds. Also rumored to be working on the record are Avicii, Natalia Kills and Martin Kierszenbaum.
Diplo had high praise for Madonna, telling Billboard she is an amicable collaborator.
“I got really lucky because she’s been really understanding and open to my ideas. And she’s like, ‘I hate sleeping…'”
Madonna’s new album is due out in 2015.
