Man Gets Prison Sentence For Sexually Abusing His Puppy

A man from Daytona Beach, Florida, pleaded guilty to charges that he sexually and physically abusing his pet puppy. He received a prison sentence of no less than five years.

According to the Florida State Attorney’s Office, James Guy Bull, 62, is guilty of two counts of felony cruelty to animals, misdemeanor animal cruelty charges, and misdemeanor sexual activities involving animals, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors in the bizarre case from Daytona Beach told reporters, according to USA Today, “The facts of this case are incomprehensible and vile.”

“The defendant’s abuse of the helpless dog shocks the collective conscience of the citizens of the Seventh Circuit and beyond,” said State Attorney R.J. Larizza after the sentence was handed down Friday.

Back in March, Bull’s neighbors contacted the police, telling them they had witnessed Bull touching the dog’s private parts on a few occasions despite the many cries and yelps from the small dog, which was called Coco.

One neighbor in particular said he was walking near Bull’s apartment when he said he actually saw Bull having sex with the animal.

Court records show that when Bull saw his neighbor, he pulled his pants up and put the dog down.

When officers arrived to confront Bull about the allegations against him, they found a very “clearly emaciated” dog chained to a post on the front porch.

The court affidavit read, “She had about 8 inches of free reign, no water, no shelter and no food for her; she was skittish and obviously afraid.”

The victim of the crimes has been rescued by a local animal rescue group and has been renamed Rose.

Hopefully, Bull will spend the the next five years thinking about his crimes, and will not be released any earlier.
