Flight 370: Indonesian Police Chief Claims He Knows What Happened To Missing Plane

Flight 370 has been missing for six months, and very few details about what might have happened to the Boeing 777 have been made available. While many people have shifted their focus from a “freak accident” to some kind of “conspiracy theory,” the Indonesian police chief came forward with a very bold statement in regard to the missing aircraft.

According to The Mirror, General Sutarman recently spoke during a meeting of senior police and airline officials, and said that he knows what happened to the plane because the Malaysian police chief told him.

“I spoke to the Malaysian Police Chief Tun Mohammed Hanif Omar. I actually know what had actually happened with MH370.”

If police know what happened to Flight 370, the information should be shared with the public, especially with the families of the 239 passengers and crew members who were on board. If the information shared with General Sutarman was classified, some say that he shouldn’t have mentioned it at all. According to The Huffington Post UK, Bambang Widodo Umar of the University of Indonesia believes that General Sutarman’s comments should have been kept private — and he wonders why police won’t share the information with the public if they have it.

“If it was supposed to be classified, he should not tell it. The police know more about it. Why don’t they reveal it?”

General Sutarman has reportedly “known the truth” for quite some time, but he says that he wouldn’t reveal what he knew.

“The Malaysian Police and I have known the truth, but I will not reveal it here,” he was quoted as saying.

Of course, this makes people wonder if there is some kind of cover up going on. This has been in the back of people’s minds since the disappearance of the plane, but with shady comments like the one from General Sutarman, people can’t help but wonder if there’s something much bigger going on here.

Flight 370 is thought to be somewhere in the Indian Ocean, but without any wreckage surfacing over the past six months, it’s hard to know this for certain. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, researchers have found “58 objects” on the ocean floor that are said to be “inconsistent” with other geological objects found in the area. There has not been any confirmation that the objects found were part of the plane’s wreckage.
