Jennifer Lopez Is No Longer The ‘Booty’ Queen

Jennifer Lopez was one the go-to artist if you were looking for someone with a curvaceous booty. Unfortunately for the singer, there are more than a few artists on the market who are more than ready to take away her crown.

Instead of attempting battle Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea for the title, she’s decided to scoot over and make room for her competition. In fact, Jennifer Lopez teamed up with the Australian rapper for the aptly-titled “Booty,” a song that doesn’t skimp on the rump. The music video promises to feature plenty of gratuitous butt shots from both Jennifer and Iggy, so prepare for YouTube to have a complete meltdown in the very near future.

According to the folks over at Latina, Jennifer Lopez is essentially “passing the torch” to Azalea with the tune. Since the rapper is known for her well-rounded behind, some might say she’s a perfect fit for the role of “Booty” queen. Of course, there’s apparently quite a few people who aren’t impressed with Iggy’s famous curves.

However, don’t tell Jennifer Lopez that she’s passing the torch to the rapper with their recent collaboration. According to Jenny from the block, this was very much a team effort.

“The video is coming out this week so I wanted to perform that [tonight], and the video is very — what can I tell you? — it’s very editorial and classy and high energy and booty-ful. It’s very booty-ful.”

Lopez added that there’s plenty of room for all sorts of butts in music at the moment. Since big backsides are all the rage now, Jennifer seems more than willing to share the space with her contemporaries. At least, that’s what she’s telling the press.

“There’s room for every artist, all types of artists, all the time. I’m not one of those people that needs to be the queen or anything like that, I just feel like I want to share my music and perform and share love with people.”

Unfortunately for Jennifer Lopez, even her famous rump couldn’t convince people to buy her latest album. The Inquisitr previously reported that Lopez’s album was one of the biggest flops of the summer. At least she has something soft to land on.
