Zooey Deschanel: “I’d Vote for Jessica Biel for President” After New Girl Premiere
Zooey Deschanel’s hit series New Girl is set to premiere its new season next week, and it has a cameo from Jessica Biel that has caused Deschanel to gush about the actress in interviews leading up to the big event, reported Australia’s Channel 3 News.
“[Biel]’s amazing. I mean talk about like, she’s beautiful, she’s really funny, she is so nice. She’s a hell of a dancer. This girl I mean she could do anything. I would vote for her for president if she ran.”
Deschanel’s premiere New Girl episode will hit Fox Tuesday, September 16. Zooey’s quirky character Jess will return to the series to bring on a whole new wave of “adorkable” awkwardness to viewers who couldn’t get enough of Deschanel last season. There will be no shortage of the show’s signature humor in the premiere, where Jessica and Zooey will have a dance-off in competition for the same man at a wedding. Of course, New Girl wouldn’t be complete without its host of men either — Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield, Lamorne Morris and Damon Wayans, Jr. will also be returning. The guys of New Girl have also sounded off about the premiere of Deschanel’s show, saying that they are excited to be back with Zooey for the show’s fourth season.
Biel herself has also expressed a lot of excitement about shaking it alongside Ms. Deschanel on the New Girl premiere. A few days ago, she took to her Twitter to build some buzz about the premiere on her own.

In other Zooey news, her band with folk singer M. Ward She & Him is set to release another album this fall. This time, the band will release a full disc of classic standards, even though it’s hardly first time they’ve tackled such fare. Deschanel and M.Ward have covered several well-known tunes over the years.
