Kaley Cuoco Pregnancy Could Affect ‘The Big Bang Theory,’ Mayim Bialik Talks Shamy

Kaley Cuoco is allegedly so ready for a baby that she wants The Big Bang Theory to be planned around her pregnancy.

According to OK! Magazine, a source has revealed that Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting can’t wait to become parents. They already chose a room in their Tarzana, California, mansion to use as a nursery and painted it the gender-neutral color yellow (maybe this is an homage to Kaley’s old Cheesecake Factory outfit).

Kaley Cuoco has made it no secret that she’s ready to have a baby. As The Inquisitr previously reported, she even said that she feels like she’s “meant to be a mom.”

Kaley has allegedly asked her Big Bang Theory bosses to plan around her pregnancy, and she’s hoping that she’ll be knocked up by later this year. But what would this mean for the show?

If Cuoco gets pregnant near the end of the year, it won’t be too hard to hide a small bump during the filming of the last episodes of Season 8. However, if Kaley accidentally gets knocked up earlier, this could definitely throw a kink into things. The show would have to get really creative with filming angles, send Leonard and Penny away on a really long vacay, or pull a Mad Men with a “Fat Penny.”

One other option would be to write Kaley’s Cuoco’s pregnancy into the show. However, according to TV Guide, executive producer Steve Molaro already said that there’s “no plans for babies” during Season 8. If the writers aren’t ready for a baby, they’d definitely prefer writing around Kaley’s pregnancy for one season over committing to a kid for the rest of The Big Bang Theory‘s run.

In less theoretical Big Bang Theory news, Mayim Bialik recently talked to ET Online about what fans can expect to see during Season 8. Kaley Cuoco’s character is finally going to discover something worth working hard for when she lands a job as a pharmaceutical rep. In fact, Mayim says Penny will start studying so much that her smarter pals will actually think that she’s overdoing it.

“I’m told that there is an opportunity for us to poke fun at her for being too studious when she’s preparing for the new job in a couple of episodes and that will be really funny.”

Mayim revealed that Amy will pit Bernadette and Penny against each other so that she can “benefit from both of their friendships.” Amy might be able to manipulate her pals, but it doesn’t sound like she’s going to discover that secret trick that will get her boyfriend to give her what she wants. Shamy is going to keep taking things slow, which will drive Amy crazy. However, Bialik loves the pace of their unusual romance.

“I think taking it slow is something that is really really sweet, and I think the Amy and Sheldon relationship really proves that there is someone for everyone. There are really no rules for how quickly or reasonably a relationship should progress and I’d like to see more of that.”

Bialik went on to point out why Shamy is one of the most special couples on TV.

“Name me another couple that has been this committed and intimate without having sex, I think it’s something that is really sweet.”

If Kaley Cuoco does get pregnant, do you think her pregnancy should be written into the show, and are you sad that Shamy is going to keep taking it slow?
