Nina Dobrev To Quit ‘Vampire Diaries’ Because Of Ian Somerhalder?

Is Nina Dobrev actually thinking of quitting The Vampire Diaries because of her former relationship with Ian Somerhalder?

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Nina Dobrev may have become uncomfortable with Ian Somerhalder’s new relationship with Twilight actress Nikki Reed.

Ian and Nikki’s romance has progressed quickly, and as previously reported by The Inquisitr, the gorgeous couple have already moved in together, and are sharing a home in Atlanta, Georgia, where Ian Somerhalder films The Vampire Diaries.

While it’s hard to believe that Nina Dobrev would want to quit The Vampire Diaries, which is entering its sixth season, and has become wildly popular with fans, it does seem it would be uncomfortable to have ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder and his new girlfriend, Nikki Reed, hanging around all the time, and try to maintain a professional relationship.

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have managed to remain friends after ending their 2-year relationship in 2013, and Nina has been romantically linked to Liam Hemsworth, Derek Hough, and Orlando Bloom since the split, which Somerhalder seemed to deal with just fine, but Nina could be a little jealous that her one time close friend, Nikki Reed, snagged her ex-boyfriend. Did Nikki break girl code?

Meanwhile, Nikki Reed, has reportedly been hanging around The Vampire Diaries set quite a bit, and for good reason. Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev’s characters on the show, Elena Gilbert and Damon Salvatore, are madly in love and always have tons of steamy scenes together. According to Breathe Cast, Nikki is scared that Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev may reconcile if left alone.

Now, rumors are flying that Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed could be talking marriage, as Nina Dobrev is expanding her acting career to films, such as the new comedy, Lets Be Cops. Sources reveal that season 6 of The Vampire Diaries could be the last, and fans are hoping that the gossip isn’t true, and that the CW show will continue on for more seasons to come.

However, the show can’t go on forever, and if Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder’s former personal relationship is now coming back to haunt them, it could mean the end of the series, or at the very least a major casting shake up, the site reports.

“But even if Ian stays and signs on for another few seasons [which is possible since his movie career hasn’t really taken off], Nina is reportedly determined to leave the show after the sixth season. For one, she simply doesn’t want to deal with her ex-boyfriend anymore, especially not when he keeps flaunting his new relationship in her face. And for another, she actually has a shot at developing a legit movie career, something that Ian already tried [and failed].”
