Bearded Hipster Idiotically Downs A Bottle of Jack Daniels, Lives To Tell The Story [Video]

Well here’s something you don’t see every day. A video went viral on social networking sites of a bearded man downing a whole bottle of Jack Daniels straight in seconds. Fortunately Will Williams, the name of the bearded hipster, has lived to tell the story about his idiotic dare that could have otherwise ended tragically.

Here’s the rundown of the video. Williams is seen on video being cheered on by his friends before a “weekend on the beer.” Will accepts the challenge of downing a 40 percent whisky bottle in seconds. The video shows the 27-year-old use a straw to down the alcohol and presto, a viral video is born.

As we know, with every viral video usually comes some controversy and Williams downing a bottle of Jack didn’t go unscathed. Many are cheering while others are condemning the foolish man for consuming that much alcohol and glorifying the otherwise dangerous situation that he could have put himself in. Many headed warnings for anyone that wanted to try the stunt. The Daily Mail reported Anna Brandberg’s comment on the video.

‘What the video fails to show is that unless he threw it all up within 10-15 min, that is a LETHAL dose of alcohol, and he would almost certainly land him in the hospital with his stomach pumped.” “This is just idiotic. I can’t believe people are applauding this, and thus putting more lives at risk as other naive people might think it seems funny and want to try it for themselves.”

Williams answered a question or two on his personal Twitter account.

Williams told The Sun that he didn’t feel any affects others than being really wasted afterward.

“I was fine, for about an hour. I was pretty much instantly hammered. I carried on and stayed out until 3am the following morning. My mates were astonished.”

That said, experts are still trying to dispel perceptions that this is an okay stunt to do. Chief Executive of Alcohol Concern said people need to realize that alcohol is poison.

“We need to remember that alcohol is a poison and can have extremely serious and immediate effects if consumed in a large amount at once. More needs to be done to ensure the dangers of alcohol misuse, and risk of alcohol poisoning, are taken more seriously. “
