It hasn’t even been a week since Riot Games started opening up the League of Legends: Dominion beta to the public, and yet they’ve announced today that Dominion is now officially live and out of beta.
League of Legends: Dominion takes the MOBA gameplay you’re already familiar with and takes it in a new direction with a new focus. Instead of battling it out across three “lanes” to eventually take down the enemy team’s Nexus, Dominion has players vying to seize control of and hold five control points.
It’s a considerably different style of gameplay than what League of Legends fans are used to – respawn timers are shorter, there’s a stronger emphasis in teamwork and strategy, and there’s just this level of chaos that you just don’t get with the standard gameplay mode.
If you missed out on trying it out during League of Legends: Dominion‘s beta phase – which was easy to do, considering the limited timeframe and early hours the phases took place in – you can now fire up the game and see what all of the fuss is about for yourself.
