Kate Hudson Slams Eating Disorder Allegations: ‘That’s One Thing I Will Never Have’

Kate Hudson is an actress who likes to think of herself as a role model to the younger generation, and that’s why recent allegations in the press of her eating disorder needed to be quashed before they did any damage.

These days, young men and women are very influenced by their favorite Hollywood actor or their favorite singer. That’s why Kate Hudson wasn’t about to let untrue rumors about an eating disorder stay out there for long without setting the record straight. In the October 2014 edition of U.K.’s Red magazine, Hudson put to bed the eating disorder rumors saying that she wants to promote “body confidence” in woman:

“If there is one thing I will never have, it is an eating disorder. I won’t have girls — even if it is just one or two who care — thinking that. Because it is a serious sickness, not something to plaster on the cover of a magazine. And I am the opposite.”

Kate Hudson was referring to her first pregnancy, in which she gained over 70 pounds, but never let it affect her self-confidence. She spoke more to the publication about how important it is to feel loved and cherished as a woman:

“I want girls to love themselves. I want them to feel good about who they are…The thing is, I’m lucky because I was loved [during that time]. But I have seen so many young women who can’t feel good about themselves because they just don’t have that love.”

Us magazine reported yesterday though that Kate Hudson does have a weight issue, and that issue is a pretty big one. It’s her massive heavy engagement ring that she proudly sports on her ring finger, although didn’t wear it when she spoke to the publication: “I’m not wearing my engagement ring because it can be…a little much. I like to wear my push gift [another ring] for pushing out Bing,” she admitted.
