Kate Middleton Enjoys Romantic Countryside Dinner Date With Prince William


Kate Middleton and husband Prince William had a rare countryside dinner date last week at a quaint setting in Norfolk. The royal couple enjoyed a candlelit dinner away from glaring camera lenses of the paparazzi.

The Duchess and the Duke didn’t travel too far from home, as home at the moment is Anmer Hall, located on the Queen’s 20,000-acre Sandringham estate, The couple have opted for a local country house in order to spend some quality time together.

The Express in Britain reported that Prince William was clearly in a romantic mood as he held hands with his wife and led her to the bar at The Kings Head Hotel in Great Bircham.

According to the publication, becausethe Prince was driving he ordered himself a lime and soda, while Kate opted for a white wine spritzer as an aperitif. The couple were then shown to their table when they each chose the same main course of grilled fillet of black bream with roasted Mediterranean vegetables, baby spinach, marinated olives and oven-dried tomatoes with arrabiata sauce.

Hello! magazine reported that when dessert time came, as the royal couple sat chatting quietly, Prince William ordered two scoops of vanilla ice cream and two spoons so that he and Kate could share the sweet. A humble yet yummy meal by any standards.

An onlooker, who just happened to be at the restaurant at the time, told reporters:

“William was extremely affectionate and considerate towards Kate throughout. They were quite flirtatious and couldn’t keep their hands off each other. When they had finished their meal, a couple of locals came up to them and said hello. They smiled and were very chatty, very accommodating. My overwhelming feeling was how normal they were. They just seemed happy to mix with the locals.”

All-in-all Kate Middleton and Prince William spent around two hours at the eatery, but they were accompanied by bodyguards who sat at a nearby table, keeping a close eye.

Kate and William have been at Anmer Hall for the best part of the last two seeks overseeing renovations to their new country abode. According to reports, the couple are splitting their time at the moment between Norfolk and London because William’s job as a helicopter pilot requires him to be close to both Cambridge and Norfolk airports.
