It’s been years since Jennifer Aniston’s name has been in the same breath as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. She’s been engaged to actor/writer Justin Theroux for two years, so she’s been living in a happy bubble, that is, until her ex-husband got hitched to the woman who allegedly broke up their marriage.
According to Hollywood Life, all of Aniston’s old insecurities have reared their ugly head in the after math of Brangelina’s surprise wedding. As it just so happens, Aniston is currently promoting her new crime film Life of Crime, and due to the wedding, she is worried about being cornered by someone on the press trail about her feelings on Pitt and Jolie.
Although it’s safe to say Jennifer has moved on, apparently it’s still a sore subject for her.
A source told Hollywood Life:
“Now she has to be prepared for the question to be asked during other media requirements that she has, even though it will be strictly off limits to speak on, she knows someone might put her in a corner and ask her on her feelings.”
That said, Aniston does know a thing or two about media training, especially when it comes to playing a certain situation to her advantage. In other words — the Brangelina wedding can mean good press for her.
“She also isn’t stupid and knows that her name is going to be around more with the Brad news. The wedding will hopefully shed some light on her, and people will still be interested in seeing her new film this weekend, now that the spotlight is on her right now.”
Even though the source brings up a solid point, Aniston has no problem with keeping her name in the press. Just this week in honor of the 20th anniversary of the hit NBC show Friends premiering, she along with old cast members Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow reunited for a hilarious sketch on Jimmy Kimmel Live! The sketch went viral and has been one of the most popular videos on YouTube all week.
Jennifer Aniston was married to Brad Pitt in 2000 in a very publicized wedding in Malibu. While the two were considered Hollywood’s golden couple, Pitt and Aniston announced that they were divorcing in 2005. After their divorce, the media suggested that Brad Pitt had cheated on Aniston with Jolie while filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Later, Brad admitted that he was depressed during their marriage and medicated by smoking pot.
