A UFO sighting left a Pennsylvania woman “scared to death” after she called 911 and the responding police officers were unable to identify the mysterious unidentified flying object in the night sky. Stephanie Wilkerson from Lower Paxton Township was relaxing on her porch drinking a glass of wine earlier this week when something overhead captured her attention. It was a “a giant circle of flashing lights,” reported New York Daily News.
“I thought it was a plane until I realized it wasn’t moving. I watched it for about 20 minutes and I started noticing it changing colors,” Wilkerson told ABC News. That’s when the woman reached for her cellphone to document the unusual sight. She even contacted a neighbor to confirm what she saw. The neighbor had an idea of his own regarding the true identity of the UFO, but he changed his mind once he got a better look through binoculars.
“He went and got his binoculars because he first thought it was a planet. Then he said, ‘No, it changed yellow. That is not a planet,'” Wilkerson told ABC News. Unable to identify the UFO and no doubt disappointed when her neighbor failed to come up with an explanation, the Pennsylvania woman called 911. Unfortunately, the police officers who responded to the scene didn’t have any more luck figuring out what was hovering in the night sky above Wilkerson’s home.
“He [the police officer] went there and apparently he saw them too so he called his sergeant and his corporal to come and verify what he was seeing,” Lower Paxton Township Police Lt. Gary Seefeldt said. When approached by authorities, neither the National Guard training center nor the local airport reported records of flight activity that night.
Wilkerson first spotted the UFO on Monday. By Wednesday, the unidentified flying object was back. Her neighbor also spotted the object on a separate occasion following the initial incident.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, another UFO sighting that had the Internet buzzing with excitement took place in Germany, where a black triangle UFO was caught on camera moving across clear blue skies. Unlike the new video from Pennsylvania, the footage from Germany was posted to a YouTube channel specializing in everything from “real mermaids” to flying dragons.
Reaction to the black triangle UFO in Germany was mixed. Even experts disagreed upon whether the footage was real or a hoax. However, one particularly clever analysis uncovered an anomaly within the video that seemed to put the issue to rest.
The mystery of the UFO sighting in Pennsylvania remains unsolved. As for Stephanie Wilkerson, the unsettling experience has made a believer out of her. “For me to see that, I am now a believer in UFOs,” she said.
