19 Kids And A Fiance? Jessa Duggar’s Fiance Has Moved In

The rumors have been confirmed by none other than dad Jim Bob Duggar himself – Ben Seewald, Jessa’s fiance, has indeed moved into the Duggar family home, located in Tontitown, Arkansas.

Apparently, the four-hour distance between the two lovebirds was just too much. And there were some practical reasons for the move, as well. As Duggar dad Jim Bob said: “We have so many projects to do that we need help for–everything from construction projects to keeping the grass mowed to putting roof on a building, paperwork and things like that–and we asked him if he would be interested in moving up here so that Jessa and his relationship could be really accelerated. He was all for it and his parents were happy about it.” Ben will continue to take on-line courses while helping his soon-to-be father-in-law with various construction projects.

So, for a couple who has limited themselves to “side-hugs” only, as Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald do, with the recent addition of hand-holding coming only after the engagement, how, exactly, does this work?

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar don’t seem that concerned about it. Apparently, Jessa and Ben will continue to have chaperones during their dates and, as Jim Bob told People, the two may be engaged, but they still have a curfew: “By midnight, every night, we need to make sure everybody is back in their place,” he said.

Most importantly, perhaps, is the touching faith the Duggar parents have in daughter Jessa and fiance Ben. To Jim Bob and Michelle, there won’t be any problems because, “Jessa and Ben have set up their own courtship standards,” said Jim Bob. “Just like Jill [Duggar] and Derick [Dillard], they will be saving their first kiss for their wedding day.” But even Jim Bob admits that having his daughter’s fiance living under his roof creates “a little more work for Dad.”

Jessa Duggar, of course, is thrilled that she will have daily contact with fiance Ben, rather than just a few times a month. But big sister Jill and her new husband Derrick do believe that a little caution could be needed. As Derrick said, “You’re human, and the physical side is there for a reason. Naturally, it is going to be difficult if you try to refrain from that.”

But as Duggar clan mom Michelle put it: “Anytime you are in love and are together, you realize you want to show your love and affection,” she says in a clip for the upcoming episode of 19 Kids and Counting. “But when you have purposed to keep those protections in your life, you have to remember and have that accountability.”
