WWE News: Who Was The Man Behind John Cena’s Booking on Monday Night Raw?

The WWE Universe displayed a public display of outrage after Monday Night Raw went off the air. For the folks who missed the event, John Cena powered his way through Bray Wyatt and the upstart Wyatt Family. Members of the IWC went to social media and complained about the whole thing.

That displays a lone example of the frustration many people of the WWE Universe felt that night. Well, if blame can be pointed in the direction of Wyatt’s destruction, the finger will be in the direction of Vince McMahon. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, McMahon fed Wyatt to the theoretical wolves.

Vince McMahon was the person responsible for the way John Cena was booked on this past Monday’s edition of WWE RAW. McMahon, who has a history of focusing on the top guys personally in his company, wrote and put together all of the material for Cena at this past Monday’s show.

McMahon was reportedly under the impression that due to the way Brock Lesnar destroyed him in the one-sided match at the SummerSlam pay-per-view, that many of Cena’s fans may lose faith in him if he wasn’t made to look strong immediately after returning to television.

There is the answer many of the fans were looking for. No matter how frustrating it was to see Bray Wyatt crash and burn in front of the world’s eyes, somehow, the feeling was mutual that it was all McMahon’s fault. How could he possibly imagine the WWE Universe not having faith in their SuperCena? That nickname wasn’t dubbed just to come up with something creative.

Instead of building superstars like Wyatt, they use him to help Cena remain on top. To me, that is a horrible decision by a promoter. Paul Heyman, Jim Ross, Mick Foley or Stone Cold would never bury a top, young star like Wyatt. For that matter, Reigns, Ambrose or Rollins should never have a strong loss until they reach the top. Anything less seems lazy and out of ideas.

On top of it all, Cena is working injured. He needs a break in a bad way. However, McMahon doesn’t like to give his top star time off, even though it is very necessary. At least Triple H and McMahon are finally starting to agree on their WrestleMania 31 main event. By that, I mean that Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar is the popular choice between the two men.

If the Rock were to face Lesnar at WrestleMania 31, the WWE Universe would riot.
