Lisa Kudrow Joined By ‘Old Roommates’ For ‘Friends’ Reunion On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

While the cast of Friends have been dodging rumors of an official reunion, fans of the show got something of a reunion during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, and Jennifer Aniston all returned to Monica and Chandler’s apartment for some fun. Cox (Monica), Kudrow (Phoebe), and Aniston (Rachel) all met up on the recreated set for a sketch and even posed with host Jimmy Kimmel during the appearance.

Currently, Jennifer Aniston is promoting her new film Life of Crime, and Lisa Kudrow is gearing up a revival of her other show, HBO’s The Comeback. As for Courteney Cox, she was recently seen vacationing in Cabo. Even though all the ladies are busy they seemed to genuinely have fun on the recreated set.

We’re not entirely sure what the particulars are of the sketch that went down during the show, but does it even matter? For years, fans have wanted to see a Friends reunion, and aside from minor guest stars the cast-mates make on each other’s sitcoms, this is the closest we will probably ever get.

That said, if there are fans still holding out for a Friends reunion, Jennifer Aniston did tell E! “people die on soap operas and they appear again. Crazier things have happened.” So take that and run with it if you want.

Fans of the show have already reacted favorably to the mini reunion:

@jimmykimmel ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME??????

So why the special reunion? It may have to do with the landmark 20th anniversary that’s coming up. The NBC hit sitcom premiered in 1994 and lasted until 2004 before the cast took their final bow. Fast forward to 2014, and now it’s 20 years after the show’s premiere.

We reported earlier that the fictional coffee shop Central Perk, which was the main hang out for the six friends, is actually coming to New York. A pop-up replica is opening up for a month in the city that never sleeps.

The shop is said to open in Soho and will be located on 199 Lafayette St and Broome Street. Central Perk will be opened from September 17 until October 18.

More to come on the Friends sketch as details filter in.
