Ed Sheeran Denies Miley Cyrus Feud After VMA Shade Incident

Is Ed Sheeran mad about the shade Miley Cyrus threw him at the VMAs? Apparently Sheeran is just as clueless as we thought as he is denying rumors of a feud between the two.

As we reported, Cyrus mouthed “a——” at Sheeran when he got up to accept his VMA moonman during the awards ceremony, but apparently that didn’t really phase the singer.

Sheeran called in to Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, and the conversation turned to the supposed feud he has with Miley Cyrus. Sheeran deflected and had this to say about the blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment between he and Cyrus during Sunday’s VMAs.

“Well, I don’t know why people were expecting [a high-five]. I’ve never met her. There was a high-five between me and [Scooter Braun] because I know him, and that was the only high-five. I don’t know what people we’re expecting.”

As we previously reported, Sheeran had previously made comments about Miley Cyrus’ song “Wrecking Ball” which might have sparked Cyrus’ attitude towards Ed on Sunday night.

The comments go back to January when the musician was on the red carpet for the Grammys. At the time, Sheeran said of Cyrus’ song:

“Twerking is what strippers do. It’s a fact. If you go to a strip club, not that I go to strip clubs, but if you go to a strip club, they twerk.”

He continued:

“You shouldn’t be encouraging little kids to twerk. Stop doing this, Miley Cyrus, please. Stop. Stop. Sing ‘Wrecking Ball.’ ‘Wrecking Ball’ is a great song.”

Despite Ed’s comments on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, people still seem to be on his side. We’re guessing it’s because of Cyrus’ overall image in the music industry these days.
