The recent cover of Playstation magazine suggests the new Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) downloadable content could have the player battling zombies. A possible release date for the new DLC has also been revealed, along with an explanation for why the Heists DLC is taking so long.
According to the International Digital Times, a recent tweet from Playstation magazine drops hints that the new DLC for GTA V could feature zombies. Along with the GTA V news comes a list of games like Resident Evil and Dead Island 2, but the whole issue seems to be zombie themed, which could insinuate that zombies will be making an appearance in the GTA V DLC.
It’s also possible that the GTA V Zombie DLC will be exclusive to the home console. According to Kotaku, the new GTA V DLC will have a special treat for owners of the Playstation 4. PlayStation’s North American marketing vice president, John Koller, spoke with Kotaku about GTA V and what Playstation owners can expect:
“GTA V is going to be, I think, a title we’ll talk about more in the weeks and months to come, but GTA V and the GTA franchise is something that will be something very special on PlayStation.”
The rumored release date for the new DLC is sometime in October or November, but nothing has been publicly announced yet.
If the zombie DLC is, in fact, coming out, what will that mean for the much anticipated GTA V Online Heists DLC? According to Christian Post, the Heists DLC has been delayed for almost a year. An administrator at Rockstar Games, the developers behind GTA, wrote the following apology explaining why Heists has taken so long:
“We know many fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Online Heists that we had planned to release for you this spring, and they are taking more time to create than originally anticipated. We are very sorry for the delay, and are working hard to bring them to you as soon as we can.”
