Lea Michele Mocked by Sarah Hyland Over Red Carpet Pose

Glee’s Lea Michele has probably spent hours in front of a mirror perfecting her red carpet pose, and it definitely gets noticed says Sarah Hyland, one of the stars of ABC’s Modern Family.

On a recent episode of E!’s Fashion Police, Hyland mocked Michele, by sharing her best impersonation of the singing gal’s fierce stance to Joan Rivers and the rest of the show’s co-hosts.

“She sticks out her collarbone to make her look skinnier and she sticks out her lips,” Hyland explained as she mimicked the pose she claims she saw Lea Michele do at the Glee 3-D movie premiere.

“It’s very strange, it’s very strange,” Hyland added. “I actually saw a clip of her doing that on the red carpet and you see me in the background, like with my back turned looking at my publicist, being like ‘I don’t know what to do right now.’ Like this is very awkward for me, I’ve never seen anything like this before in my life.”

Following the mockery, which went down on last Friday (September 16th), numerous Gleeks took to the web to voice their disgust over Hyland’s comments.

As a result, Hyland, 20, hopped on twitter to explain herself, but was careful not to apologize for being an “outspoken person.”

“I did not intend for my comments to be taken in a malicious way,” Hyland tweeted. “In no way am I jealous of Lea Michele. I’m happy with my own life and am not jealous of anyone else’s in the world. I can’t take myself that seriously. I don’t like the red carpet. I feel silly. So props to her for knowing what she’s doing and enjoying it.”

“But I won’t apologize.” Sarah continued. “I’m an outspoken person. I own what I said about that outfit. And I mimicked what I saw with my own two eyes.”
