Once Upon a Time finally gave Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) a chance at happily ever after by having her hook up with Hook (Colin O’Donoghue), but the pirate might have a target on his back. Should Captain Swan fans be worried?
According to Entertainment Weekly, the old rivalry between Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) and the debonair corsair is going to rear its ugly head once again. Executive producer Adam Horowitz revealed that the guys will finally find time to face off during Season 4 of Once Upon A Time.
“Hook and Rumplestiltskin have a very long history that is blood-riddled and difficult that has been put aside for a little while due to circumstance, but now that circumstances have changed, that past history is going to rear its head again.”
Rumple blames Hook for ruining his life by running off with his wife, and Hook still hasn’t forgiven the Dark One for murdering the love of his life. Both men have found love again, but it looks like their lingering feelings for Milah could cause some major issues when Once Upon a Time returns this fall.
Hook has the most to worry about here because, unlike Rumple, he doesn’t possess any magical powers. Mr. Gold could easily vanquish the buccaneer in a battle to the death. Mr. Gold also proved that he’s not a completely changed man — he lied to Belle about the Dark One’s dagger and Zelena’s death.
It would be a shame to kill off Hook now. Things are really starting to heat up between the pirate and his princess, and he’s finally getting a makeover. Once Upon a Time fans have been sharing set photos of Colin O’Donoghue’s new outfits on social media, and it looks like Killian hasn’t stopped embracing the bad boy look. He’s still rocking all black and lots of leather, but he’s traded his heavy pirate coat for a biker jacket. However, the most interesting thing about the set photos is that Hook now has two hands.

Other photos show Mr. Gold and Hook having a serious conversation in a car. Luckily for Captain Swan fans, it doesn’t look like Rumple is about to kill Killian.
However, Once Upon a Time fans who ship Captain Swan might have to worry about Killian’s pirating past. During an interview with TV Line, Colin O’Donoghue hinted that the pirate’s relationship with Emma isn’t going to be all smooth sailing.
“They definitely get on a lot better than when they first met, but it’d be hard to trust a pirate, based off all the legends and such. It’s up to Hook to gain and hold onto that trust.”
Emma could end up heartbroken if the sea starts calling Killian’s name. As The Inquisitr previously reported, two more hot blondes are also about to blow into town when Elsa (Georgina Haig) and the Snow Queen (Elizabeth Mitchell) make their icy entrances. Perhaps Hook’s flirting habit will irk Emma.
Do you think Captain Swan will survive season 4 of Once Upon a Time?
