The ISIS terrorist group has become well known for using social media to issue threats from all over the world, but now one Egyptian feminist named Aliaa Magda Elmahdy has upped the ante by posting a Facebook photo of the ISIS flag being desecrated.
In a related report by The Inquisitr, even Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda apparently think ISIS is too wicked. Before the infamous al Qaeda leader was killed, he was discussing disavowing any ties with the ISIS terrorist group. Some U.S. politicians are claiming that ISIS is developing a WMD capable of destroying an entire American city. Although the full extent of ISIS’ WMD capabilities have been debated by the experts, it’s also believed the Islamic terrorist group is now the richest in the world, and some are worried they might actually be capable of pulling off the feat. U.S. General Martin Dempsey believes the threat is real enough that he’s saying the only way to stop the ISIS terrorist group is a full-scale war.
Aliaa Magda Elmahdy and another unknown Egyptian social activist have definitely found a “unique” way to fight back against the creeping tide of the Islamic state. The two women are shown defecating and menstruating on an Islamic State flag while completely naked in an apparent protest against the ISIS terrorist group. There are two guns in the background, but they appear to be either airsoft guns or at least made of plastic. The woman on the right is dressed in a black hijab and has her back to the camera, although she is also shown giving the camera the middle finger in an insult presumably targeted at ISIS. It’s claimed that Arab media has avoided publishing the viral photo since the words” there is no God but Allah” are printed on the ISIS banner.
Elmahdy did not specify the reasons for creating the photo, although it’s likely in response to ISIS’ misogynistic ideology. This is also not the first time she has protested in the nude. Back in 2011, she posed wearing only stockings and red shoes in order to protest the culture of Egypt, claiming that her photos “scream against a society of violence, racism, sexism, sexual harassment and hypocrisy.” While many conservative Muslims were shocked and angered by the photos, according to The Times Of Israel, even Egyptians who favor secularism believe the feminist’s photos hurt their efforts since it makes it difficult to call themselves “people of virtue.”
Do you think the photo by Aliaa Magda Elmahdy is a good way to protest the ISIS terrorist group?
