Matt Bomer To Guest Star On ‘American Horror Story’

Looks like Matt Bomer is making his debut on American Horror Story: Freak Show. Bomer, who has worked with head showrunner Ryan Murphy multiple times, is set to guest star on the fourth season of the FX show.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Bomer, who is the lead of television series White Collar, is heading to show for a guest stint. Ryan Murphy broke the news at Entertainment Weekly’s Emmy Party and is excited to reunite with the actor.

As it just so happens, Bomer recently wrapped the final season of White Collar, so odds are he’s free for a few projects, not just American Horror Story: Freak Show.

“I try to get him to do everything for me. I sent him a text that said, ‘First right of refusal, here’s the role.’ It’s very…warped.”

Keeping with the true spirit of the secrecy behind American Horror Story, Murphy isn’t revealing Matt Bomer’s role, but if he says it’s warped we’re going to take his word for it.

As we stated, this isn’t the first time the actor has worked with Ryan. Additionally, Matt had a guest star on the Fox show Glee, which was one of the first times he showed off his vocal chops as Blaine’s older brother Cooper. Then he took on a supporting role as AIDS victim Felix Turner in the HBO movie The Normal Heart, which was directed by Ryan Murphy.

Matt Bomer went on to receive a nomination for the role, which is one of 11 Emmy nominations for the TV movie.

As for American Horror Story: Freak Show, a teaser trailer was released, showing a claw-like hand. A few days ago we questioned whether this ominous claw-hand was evidence that there would be a “Lobster boy” character. As we noted, Grady Stiles Jr was known as a famous freak show performer for his lobster-like hands.

Another character rumored to be joining the cast of “freaks” is the bearded lady, but that hasn’t been confirmed either.

That said, we do know that American Horror Story: Freak Show has tapped the smallest woman for a special role. Murphy announced the character officially through his Twitter, and even included a photo of cast member Jessica Lange smiling with the 20-year-old Jyoti Amge.

What character do you think Matt Bomer will play?
