George Clooney’s Ex Elisabetta Canalis Opens Up: ‘Only Thinking Of My Happiness’
George Clooney’s ex — no, not Stacy Keibler, but Elisabetta Canalis — is opening up for the first time since getting engaged.
The Italian actress famously dumped George Clooney right before he started dating Amal Alamuddin, who became the woman who was able to get the man to say goodbye to his bachelor ways. Now on the heels of her own engagement, Elisabetta Canalis is making it clear that her mind is definitely off her famous ex.
Canalis is engaged to surgeon Brian Perri, and she’s telling Italy’s Chi all about it. Of the special occasion, she revealed that she’s wearing a gown by Alessandro Angelozzi. The actress says that it was rare to find her ideal man, especially considering his age.
“I met a 46-year-old man who has never married and does not have children, a rarity.”

As for her diamond sparkler? She’s over the moon about it, having said, “It is the most beautiful ring I have ever seen. Brian designed it, he put his heart and soul into it.”
And what about her famous ex George Clooney? Well, she said this of his engagement to Amal:
“I am happy for him, but I am thinking only of my happiness. It is the most important day of my life, I don’t have time to think of anyone else.”
In an interesting turn she’s also getting hitched in September, which is the rumored month that Clooney is getting married. They may even be wed in the same country as Canalis has picked Italy for her special occasion.
“I chose the date some time ago and September is the most beautiful time — for those who do not know Sardinia — to appreciate it. Otherwise I would have had to wait a year.”

As for Clooney, he and Amal Alamuddin posted a legal document in London letting everyone know that they plan to be married in Italy.
The couple became engaged in April after a whirlwind romance. This will be the second marriage for Clooney, as he married Talia Balsam before divorcing in 1993. According to various reports, the rumor is that Clooney will marry Amal in his villa by Lake Como.
