Ke$ha Designs Watches For Casio [Pic]

Pop singer Ke$ha has designed a set of watches for maker Casio and believe it or not they aren’t covered in glitter.

The singer created the watches for the Casio Baby-G brand, one of which features a leopard print for $120 (MSRP) while the other offers an American flag for $99 (MSRP).

Speaking of her new venture Ke$ha says:

“I have been designing and making my own clothes since I was young, and, as an artist, I design all of my stage costumes. This experience with Casio is so exciting because it’s my first collaboration as a designer and it’s extra meaningful because I wrote my first single ‘Tik Tok’ on a Casio keyboard.”

Explaining her motivations behind her American flag watch she says:

“In creating my red, white and blue watch, I was obviously inspired by the American flag because it’s a recurring theme in my aesthetic but also represents freedom of speech, a right I passionately exercise in my life and in my music.”

Ke$ha also explains why she chose a leopard print design for her second watch:

“Leopard print is another recurring theme in my look, which I like to wear because it brings out my animal inside. I hope when people wear my watches they’re reminded to express themselves always and never lose the animal inside themselves.”

If you can’t live without one of those hideous designs that look they belong in the 1980s they can be picked up at Nordstrom, Macy’s and Tourneua locations along with outer fashion boutiques across North America.
