Kevin Hart Proposes To Girlfriend, Shades Ex-Wife?
Comedian Kevin Hart proposed to model girlfriend, Eniko Parrish, after dating for 5 years. Hart popped the big question during Parrish’s birthday celebrations on Monday.
“She said YEEEEESSSSS…… #Happy #MyRib #iF–kingLoveHer,” Hart later tweeted in a photo to his 11.5 million Twitter followers. He sent out birthday tweets about his girlfriend before getting down on one knee. He then posted a photo via Twitter of the happy couple show Parrish hugging 5’4 Kevin Hart from behind, flashing a massive diamond on her finger.
But some have speculated the proposal was done to throw shade on Hart’s ex-wife, Torrei. Mrs. Hart is part of the cast on VH1’s Atlanta Exes. The premiere was broadcasted the same night Kevin Hart proposed to Parrish. Mrs.
Hart had bad blood with Kevin Hart and Eniko Parrish before, quick to claim Parrish is a reason behind their divorce. Her claims lead the comedian to unleash a wave of social media messages, seen here on Jezebel and other sites, earlier this year coming to his now fiancé’s defense and shaming his ex-wife for her accusations.
“My woman has nothing to do with my past marriage problems in any way shape or form. It’s almost 7 years total of me not being with my Ex. I guess giving a woman over 20k a month and still being there for her and being an incredible father isn’t enough,” Kevin Hart professed in a series of tweets back in May.
Additionally, TMZ reports Kevin Hart and his bride-to-be were spotted in Majik City strip club in Atlanta Monday night. Mrs. Hart was in the house as well with her new beau and Atlanta Exes co-stars. Reports say the two sat within eye contact and saw each other but nothing was said. Kevin Hart reportedly spent over $40,000 that night.
Kevin and Torrei have two children together.
Because of the common bickering between Kevin Hart and his ex-wife, it is very ironic that Torrei Hart had nothing but good things to say about the soon-to-be union of Hart and Parrish.
“I think it’s beautiful. Love is beautiful,” the Atlanta Exes start told The Ryan Cameron Morning Show on Monday. She went on to add that her current beau was very supportive of her during the show’s premiere, letting the world know that she is moving on from her past too. She boasted about the show’s premiere ratings saying they were “through the roof,” looking forward to a little spotlight herself.
However, when asked about Kevin Hart’s cheating ways, Torrei Hart did not hesitate to say that her ex-husband’s infidelity certainly did hurt. The premiere of the show had footage of Torrei crying while discussing the breakdown of her marriage, saying that she was living in the moment. The footage of her emotional state was shot back in January.
When asked about Kevin Hart and his cheating ways, Torrei does not believe the bad behavior will stop anytime soon. “He cheated on me. What makes her any different?”
