Ferguson Cop’s Side Of Michael Brown Shooting, As Told By Officer’s Friend [Audio]

A woman who says that she is a friend of the Ferguson, Missouri, cop involved in the shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown called a radio talk show to tell the officer’s side of the story.

“Josie” called in to the Dana Loesch Talk Show on Friday, according to Eagle Rising, saying that she is a friend of police officer Darren Wilson. Because the investigation into the shooting is on-going, the public has not heard anything from Wilson at this point. Josie says that it has been difficult to sit back and watch events unfold and remain silent, even though she says that the friends and family are afraid to say anything. She has now come forward to tell the Dana Loesch show what happened in the shooting of Michael Brown, as Officer Wilson’s significant other told her.

According to Josie, Officer Wilson saw Michael Brown and his friend walking in the middle of the street, and words were exchanged. “He pulled up ahead of them. And then he got a call-in that there was a strong-arm robbery. And, they gave a description.”

The strong-arm robbery took place just prior to Darren Wilson’s encounter with Brown. The Gateway Pundit reports that Michael Brown was the primary suspect in the robbery at a Ferguson convenience store that had just occurred, with Dorian Johnson as his accomplice. According to security camera footage and the police report released Friday, the suspect allegedly took a box of Swisher Sweets cigars. When the clerk tried to stop Brown, he “aggressively pulls [the clerk] in close to him and then immediately pushes him back into a display rack.”

It was after the robbery suspects left the convenience store that Officer Wilson came upon Michael Brown and Dorian Johnson in the middle of the road. When he got the call in, he apparently realized that the men were possibly the robbery suspects.

Josie continues with her story:

“he’s looking at them and they got something in their hands and it looks like it could be what, you know those cigars or whatever. So he goes in reverse back to them. Tries to get out of his car. They slam his door shut violently. I think he said Michael did. And, then he opened the car again. He tried to get out. He stands up.

“And then Michael just bum-rushes him and shoves him back into his car. Punches him in the face and then Darren grabs for his gun. Michael grabbed for the gun. At one point he got the gun entirely turned against his hip. And he shoves it away. And the gun goes off.

“Well, then, Michael takes off and gets to be about 35 feet away. And, Darren’s first protocol is to pursue. So he stands up and yells, ‘Freeze!’ Michael and his friend turn around. And Michael starts taunting him: ‘What are you gonna do about it? You’re not gonna shoot me.’ And then all the sudden, he just started bum-rushing him. He just started coming at him full speed. And, so he just started shooting. And, he just kept coming. And so he really thinks he was on something, because he just kept coming. It was unbelievable.”

The caller told talk-show host Dana Loesch that she learned the details of the shooting of Michael Brown before the riots, reported by The Inquisitr, started occurring.

The investigation continues into what actually happened that day. All of the information is not in yet. The Huffington Post reports that Attorney General Eric Holder has ordered a second autopsy of Michael Brown’s body to bring clarity to some unanswered questions. Brown’s toxicology reports may not be available for another two to four weeks, but they will hopefully shed further light on the case.

No matter which version of the Ferguson teenager shooting proves to be closest to the truth, there is no doubt that the August 9 shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown has deeply impacted a community and a nation.
