Mom’s Video Of Her Rapping To Get Her Boys To School On Time Goes Viral [Video]

A mother from Lafayette, Louisiana, is an internet sensation thanks to the short video she uploaded to Facebook featuring a rap she created to get her boys out of bed. Tonette Mouton just wanted what many other moms across the U.S. wanted on the first day of school, a back-to-school photo of her two boys. However, Tonette’s boys did not want to wake up, so Tonette decided to take matters into her own hands with a little rapping.

In the video, we see Tonette telling her boys they better get in gear or mom will “act like a fool.” They boys didn’t get it together, so mom retaliated by putting the video on her Facebook open to the public. The video is priceless at the 0:13 mark when the 19-year-old brother joins in with some of his moves. Tonette says on her personal Facebook page which features the full video.

“I bet next year Dillion [her son] will smile for the camera!!”

Since the video has gone viral, Tonette is in somewhat of a state of shock. On her Facebook page, Tonette notes that she never thought the video would go viral. She also points out that anyone who knows her understands her parenting style which definitely includes some humor. Tonette writes:

“This school year is extra special this year because my last 2 kids will be graduating. One from 8th grade & the other in 12th. The video was made out of fun & to give my kids something to laugh about..My kids, family & a small circle of friends know my tactics for raising my kids can be quite comical. Never in my life would I have thought this little video could have went viral! Thank u for all the love & beautiful compliments I have received.. You have truly brought tears to this Southern Gal face… Love u guys & welcome my new friends…Ohh guys, Im not a rapper.. lol “
