Crazy Cat Lady Kellie Picker Takes Time Off Tour Spend Time With Cat Lovers

Kellie Pickler has recently graced the pages of The Inquisitr when she showed off her bikini body during a recent vacation. She has decided to take a little more time off from her tour, although this time it is not for a vacation.

Instead, Kellie Pickler has decided to focus on her crazy cat lady tendencies and help the Food Bank of New York City by coercing fans to sing the Meow Mix song. Every person who accepts the task of singing the Meow Mix song will initiate a donation of 100 meals to the Food Bank of New York City. Kelli Pickler may be best known for her crazy antics on American Idol, where she quickly became a fan favorite. However, her successful music career has allowed her to embrace sanity through her random bouts of insanity. To her, it only made sense to combine her crazy cat love with helping out those in need. In a weird sort of way, it makes sense.

Kellie Pickler has come a long way from her stint on American Idol, and enjoys using her fame to help others.

“For those that might need a little encouragement – those that I need to drag into the studio – if they need a little help, I’ll jump in and sing it with them. It’s not a really difficult song to learn. There’s one lyric: ‘Meow.’ So you just say that a bunch, and make it your own.”

Kellie Pickler admits that although she is crazy for cats, she cannot own them because her husband is allergic. She celebrated her American Idol victory by adopting a cat, but her husbands reaction forced her to find it a new home.

“It was the husband or the cat. But luckily we have a great home for Pickles. He’s actually with friends in North Carolina. He’s on a farm, and he is happy. He’s like Garfield, but a farm cat. But it’s really hard. I can’t see pictures of him or I’ll start crying, and then my husband feels bad. I am that crazy cat lady,” she continued. “If my husband was not allergic to cats, we’d probably have a houseful of cats.”

Kellie Pickler doesn’t limit her animal obsession to just the feline species. She has admitted to taking in other animals as well.

“I’ve rescued several animals. My husband never knows when my bus pulls up at the house if a critter’s gonna come crawling off the bus and have to stay with us till we find a home for it. But I’m notorious for trying to find homes for stray dogs or cats or whatever. We’ve taken raccoons, snakes – everything you can think of.”

Kellie Pickler is excited for the opportunity to share her love with cats among the fans who come out and sing the Meow Mix jingle and help to donate to the Food Bank of New York. However, if you cannot make it out, you can visit www.itsmeowtime.com to submit your video. Doing so will enter you into a contest where you can win a trip to Hollywood to be in a Meow Mix music video.
