You Won’t Believe What This Missouri Cop Did To The Kids In This Neighborhood [Video]

The police in Missouri have had a rough time of it of late, after the alleged gunning down of an unarmed teenager sparked riots and protests from a St. Louis community. As the FBI begins an investigation on what happened to Michael Brown, the community continues to boil with rage and the St. Louis Police struggle to maintain order. But in the midst of the bad publicity and the ongoing tensions, the cops in in Kansas City, Missouri still found a way to reach out the the community when one officer challenged a group of local teens to a dance off in the street.

The video highlights the tense street battle as both parties showed off with some crazy moves. In the end, it’s hard to pick a clear dance champion–though my vote goes to the kids–but it’s sure nice to see some positive news come out of Missouri in regards to police and community relations.

The best part is when one of the cops had to interrupt the “poppin’ n lockin,'”or in the case of the police officer, the disco, so a car could pass down the street. No word on if there will be a rematch, but both sides best bring it if they want to “Step Up.”
