Oprah Winfrey Network Brings on ‘Trading Places’ Host for New Show

Paige Davis is returning to network TV. The former host of TLC’s popular “Trading Places” will be hosting a new show on the Oprah Winfrey Network. Davis will be hosting “Home Made Simple,” a new daytime series on the OWN Network, starting in October.

Davis was a huge TV star in 2001 when “Trading Places” was a breakout hit for TLC. “Trading Places” had two neighbors swap houses for a week and redecorate. Her new show, “Home Made Simple,” will also focus on redecorating, but Davis and a team of experts will be doing the work this time.

USA Today reports that Davis and her team will try to simplify people’s lives as families embark on household projects like hosting a party or redecorating a room.

The Oprah Winfrey Network is also getting ready to welcome back another former TV host to the small screen. Rosie O’Donnell will be returning to TV next month with her own show on the OWN Network called “The Rosie Show.”

Will you be watching Rosie O’Donnell or Paige Davis on their new shows? The Oprah Winfrey Network has been struggling to find viewers since its launch, so maybe some new (old) blood will give OWN a surge in the ratings.
