‘The Flash’: The CW Releases ‘My Name Is…’ Trailer

The upcoming television show The Flash has been getting a lot of attention as we get closer and closer to its official release on the CW Network. We here at The Inquisitr kept up with news about the new television show, based off of the DC Comics, which is also somewhat of a spin-off from Arrow. Most of our articles include the grand revealing of the costume that actor Grant Gusten would wear for the show. This includes the mask first, followed by the full suit. Danielle Panabaker even discussed her role on the upcoming television show too.

Now, the first official trailer for The Flash has been uploaded on YouTube, and it is extremely awesome, if I may say so myself being that I like DC (though Wonder Woman is my favorite character).

The trailer was uploaded on the YouTube channel, The CW Television Network. At this moment, the video titled “The Flash – ‘My Name Is…’ Trailer,” which was uploaded on August 6, 2014, now has over 890,000 views. It is still in the top 100 videos on YouTube.

The Hollywood Reporter actually reported that the trailer offers comic book easter eggs. There are certain quotes said during the trailer that nod at certain histories about The Flash. The sentence, “Inside your body could be the map to a whole new world,” is a potential reference to the DC Multiverse, a group of worlds that first appeared in the 1961’s The Flash No. 123, “Flash of Two Worlds.” Also, this multiverse concept also allowed DC characters to cross-over to the Marvel Universe too.

Now that you have seen the trailer, we want to read what you think about it. Is the new trailer exciting? Does it make you want to watch the spin-off of Arrow? Or do you see this trailer as mediocre, thus lacking any interest to watch it in the first place? Please let us know in the comments below.
