Trailer Released, Aug. 12 Date Set For ‘Surgeon Simulator’ PS4 Release [Video]

It is coming to PS4 and the trailer looks absolutely amazing!

Surgeon Simulator is coming to the PlayStation 4 on August 12, according to a video posted to YouTube that serves as a trailer for the BAFTA-award winning game.

More details from Gamespot:

“Unfortunately, the developer isn’t revealing what the PlayStation-exclusive mode will entail just yet. “All we CAN say is that it’s something our community asked for. Daily. And we hate to disappoint,” Bossa Studios community manager Poppy Byron said in the blog post. “Our awesome (and twisted) dev team wanted to make sure that this newest version of the game was even more nightmare-inducingly fun.”

If you have no idea what the fuss is all about with the Surgeon Simulator PS4 release, Gamespot explained the fun and humor of the game, which has been available for both the PC and iPad since last year, as well as how controls on the game will be different for the PlayStation version of the game:

“‘Surgeon Simulator’s’ famously inelegant controls are one of the game’s most compelling features. For the PS4 version, hand movement and rotation has been mapped to the DualShock 4’s left and right thumb sticks, while you’ll use the two shoulder buttons to control the fingers. You can also control the orientation of the hand using the controller’s motion sensors if you want. ‘Our playtesters were pleasantly surprised by how good this felt,’ Bossa Studios said in June. ‘It’s quite an alien feeling at first, but it gives a lot of agility to the hand, so people tended to prefer it over the stick control once they got a feel for it.'”

IGN News lays out pricing for Surgeon Simulator PS4 release first in the United States, followed by the European Union:

“This version of the game will cost $12.99 / €10.99 / £8.99 and comes with new eye and teeth operations, new environments and… something else that the team isn’t revealing just yet, though it’s apparently something the community has regularly asked for.”

There is no word yet on whether the game could be coming to the latest versions of the Microsoft and Nintendo gaming units, though one could expect that the company would be more than willing to do the releases if the Surgeon Simulator PS4 release proves to be as successful as everyone expects.

I know I can’t be the only one excited about Surgeon Simulator. So leave a comment and tell me what you think about this game.
